After much reading and commenting in the Bloggernacle, I decided it was time to create my own blog. Online, I go by Grasshopper, but in the “real world”, I am Christopher Bradford. I was given the nickname “Grasshopper” at summer camp when I was about 12 years old, and decided to use it as my online handle when I began posting at Beliefnet in early 2000. I hope this blog will be a fruitful way to reason on various aspects of Mormonism. (I'll be playing with the formatting somewhat over the next little while until I'm satisfied with how things look...)

ReplyDeleteBravo, Grasshopper. I think your weblog has a nice look right now-earth tones, colors match, classy look.
ReplyDeleteYou'll find that life is different when you have a blog. Every book you read, every article you come across, every talk you hear becomes a potential topic. You'll find yourself thinking "I think I can blog on this" about five times a day. Life becomes a search for content. Every comment is a gem.

Hey Grasshopper, welcome to the world of having your own blog. As Dave says, it makes life a little different, somehow. But I'm excited to have a place to come and hear your own original postings; I always love your comments elsewhere.

Thanks for the welcome, Dave and Logan. I think this will be a little different for me, but to some degree, I already approach things in this way. I've been an avid discussion board participant (and topic starter) for several years now, so I frequently find myself wanting to share something I've found or an idea that pops into my head. I'm looking forward to seeing how different a blog is...

Congratulations and welcome to the, ahem, Bloggernacle. As David says, it does change how you view things, I usually let a subject or an article torture me until I give up and decide to wait for something else another day.
ReplyDeleteI think the look is great too. Inspiration to make mine a little nicer yet remain simple.
I'm looking forward to coming back.

Welcome to the Bloggernacle, grashoppoer. I must agree with the first Dave; however, it won't take long before you run out of things to say too.

Don't worry, if you run out of things to say, just BADH (beat a dead horse). There are certain topics that seem to never die with Mormons...*cough* homosexuality/abortion *cough*.

Well, I'm sure I'll address those topics at some point, but I'll try not to do it just because there's nothing else to talk about.
